Loflin Yard’s Partner Unveils New Outdoor Hotspot in Bartlett!
Hold onto your hats, Bartlett! The rumors have finally been confirmed: a dynamic new outdoor entertainment venue and restaurant concept is set to grace our city, and it’s brought to you by none other than a partner from the famed Loflin Yard.
Mayor David Parsons himself took the stage during his State of the City address on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Bartlett City Hall to unveil this thrilling development. He introduced Mason Jambon, the mastermind behind Loflin Yard, Railgarten, Bounty on Broad, and the soon-to-be talk of the town, tentatively named Ramble On Summer.
Jambon shared the exciting genesis of this project, recalling a phone call six months ago that set the wheels in motion: “About six months ago, a guy called me and said, ‘Hey, there’s a space out in Bartlett that I’d like you to look at. It might be feasible for one of your concepts.'”
That space, located at 7157 U.S. 70, was formerly Bartlett Nursery, and it’s set to undergo a stunning transformation. Property owner Frederick Morris expressed his enthusiasm, noting, “We really have settled on pricing, process and the way forward. I think it’s going to be a benefit for Bartlett. I think Bartlett needs something that brings people here.”
Morris, alongside his husband Jon, is deeply invested in charitable and community endeavors on the property, including an art gallery, church, gift shop, and gardens to support the homeless. He believes this new concept will only enhance their philanthropic efforts.
Jambon, visibly thrilled, described the natural beauty of the location: “It’s beautiful. Aesthetically, it’s just stunning. Huge trees. It feels very secluded but really right in the middle of the city.”
While exact details and financing are still being finalized, the excitement is palpable. Morris shared, “The bank’s working it out now, and we should probably be signing on that pretty soon.”
Before diving into the project, Jambon sought the support of city officials, who enthusiastically endorsed the concept. Mayor Parsons emphasized, “It’s going to be a great experience… something that you won’t have to drive out of this town to go do. It’ll be something that you’ve never been able to do in this town.”
For Jambon, Bartlett holds a special allure reminiscent of his hometown outside New Orleans. He’s aiming to have Ramble On Summer open by mid-2025 and is already envisioning additional features like a potential coffee shop on the property’s northwest corner.
