Arlington’s first spa for cosmetic skin procedures is opening by next month.

Established Arlington health care provider Faith Family Medical at 6050 Airline Road is expanding to the building next door with a new spa division called Arlington Aesthetics.

Arlington resident and aesthetician Keri Jo Mason will handle the cosmetic procedures for the new business, while Faith Family Medical owner and nurse practitioner Amanda Price will continue to see the medical patients.

“We’re delighted that one of our chamber members is expanding,” Arlington Chamber of Commerce Director Tonia Howell said “It’s always an encouraging sign when our business community grows – and it is especially encouraging as we’re coming out of these challenging times.”

Mason began working with Faith Family Medical a little over a year ago after the practice had purchased a Morpheus8 laser for collagen building and cosmetic procedures for the face. Price decided to open the dedicated skin care division after picking up a lot of business in the past year from offering those services.

“It’s going to be more like a spa environment where before it was more like a doctor’s office setting,” explained Mason. “Arlington doesn’t really have a spa out here, so we thought it would be nice for people to have something close where they won’t have to go to Germantown, East Memphis or Collierville for that experience.”

Services offered will include facials, waxings, brow and lash lifts and tints, chemical peels, Botox and dermaplanes.

“The Morpheus8 laser treats scars, so if you have acne scars or scarring from chickenpox or shingles it can help soften those and pretty much take those away over time,” said Mason, who previously worked at and Mid-South Dermatology in Bartlett for a decade and then Solutions Medical Center in Collierville for two years.

Most commonly treated areas with the Morpheus8 include the lower face and neck for things like stretch marks, sagging skin, poor skin texture, discoloration, enlarged pores, and lines and creases in the skin.

Faith Family Medical touts its natural facials as a great way to relieve tension, improve circulation, improve the absorption of the skin, and prolong the age of your skin.

“When (former tenant) Allstate moved, we decided to lease that space and open it as Arlington Aesthetics,” Mason said.

The Faith Family Medical clinic also treats acute and chronic illnesses and handles routine and sports physicals, weight management, minor wound repair, gynecological exams, pregnancy tests, drug screenings, B12 injections, sinus cocktails and more.

Family counselor Amy Kerns will also have office space in the new area of the business.
